We’re getting pretty excited about the upcoming CIO Chicago Summit. The city’s leading CIOs and IT executives have the event penciled into their schedules for September 26, and we have to admit it’s coming together pretty nicely. We’ve got the ritzy Public Chicago hotel as our venue, and the attendee list is filling out with some great names: GE Healthcare, Sears Holdings Corporation, Illinois Institute of Technology and the Chicago Cubs to name a few.
We’ve got some heavy-hitters from the vendor community, too: Microsoft, Comcast, HP Enterprise Services—ring a bell?
What can we say, Chicago’s chock full of talented individuals and industry-leading enterprises. It’s a fact, and we’re ecstatic to have a great selection of them on board. The one-day event is all about bringing Chicago together to strengthen the local IT community, ultimately improving local organizations. Chicago is already an amazing place, and with better IT departments making better organizations, the city can only get better.
But it doesn’t end there…
The 2012 Ryder Cup is coming to town, Sept. 25-30, marking Illinois’ first time as host! The best golfers in the U.S. and Europe will be there and word through the grapevine is that Medinah Country Club, the tournament’s host, will have the links in sparkling pristine condition. The city of Chicago is getting excited, too, with plans to install a number of three-foot, professionally decorated golf balls along Michigan Avenue in the coming weeks—including one set up outside Michael Jordan’s Steak House and autographed by the former NBA star.
So you know CDM just had to be there.
After the CIO Chicago Summit, We’ll be rounding up a group of VIP technology executives, high-tailing it to the Medinah Country Club in suburban Medinah, Ill., and setting up shop on the 18th green for the duration of the tournament. Our exclusive chalet will give VIP technology executives the chance to network and discuss IT concerns and challenges—Oh, and maybe watch one of the most prestigious golf tournaments on the planet. Who knows, maybe we’ll even get to meet Justin Timberlake, since he’s signed on as U.S. Team Ambassador. Fingers crossed. Either way, we’ll be offering breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack, as well as round-trip transportation between Chicago and Medinah.
It’s going to be a blast! If you’re interested in going, please respond with your interest to RSVPRyderCup@cdmmedia.com and CDM Media will review your request. FOUR!!!
